This is an exciting time for the team at S&D Paving, as we are wrapping up our commercial project in Sandhurst. This retirement homes project has been an ongoing labour of love for our team, as we have been present on the site since November. Over this time, the transformation has been incredible, and our experts have done an outstanding job.
All areas of the retirement homes project are now complete, and we have worked to build the whole site from scratch. We are extremely proud of our team, as they have done an amazing job developing the paving, steps and brickwork to the highest standard.

Our Final Update And Progress Tour
If you have been keeping up with our retirement home project updates, you can see that we have come a long way since the first post. This has been one of the biggest projects S&D Paving has undertaken and is a commercial project that we hope opens more doors for us.
Our team has worked tirelessly on this site since last year, and we are incredibly proud of our progress. The whole site has been made anew, and everything has been done from scratch by our paving, landscaping, and driveway experts.
In our previous update, we were awaiting the final touches and the new road to be installed. This is now complete, and you can see what a difference it has made to the site as a whole. Each property has its own private pathway, steps, and parking spot which lead to the main road. This freshly laid road is the direct route in and out of the retirement home site and has been installed to premium standards by our team.
Tarmac has been applied to ensure longevity and give the road a smooth finish. Once this layer has been installed, a topping coat will later be applied for additional strength. Without this additional step, the tarmac is at risk of cracking and breaking down over time, especially in such high-traffic areas as this one.
This retirement homes site is designed to withstand the test of time and remain a safe, accessible and attractive environment for retirees.
Looking At The Details: Brickwork, Steps And Landscaping
Our team has done an amazing job on this project, working to build the site from the ground up. All details have been designed and installed by us, from the main road to the brickwork surrounds of each property.
Homes have a private patio space and lawn area, which is separated by hardwood fencing. The entire grounds is secure and private with a hardwood fence around the perimeter, as well as a security gate at the front.
Access into each home is provided through our bespoke steps, which have been hand-crafted and expertly installed by our team. The bricks, paving stones, and road materials have specifically been chosen to provide a cohesive design to the entire site. As you can see in the video, all surfaces complement the neutral tones of the homes and create a timeless appeal to the site overall.
We have designed this retirement homes project to last a long time and remain a safe, comfortable environment for the residents. No detail has been overlooked, as we have even carefully curated planting displays to adorn each property and add a pop of colour to the neutral site.

This has been an amazing project for the S&D Paving team. We have spent many hours on this site in Sandhurst, Epsom, to achieve this finished result and are extremely proud of our progress.
